Warranty Considerations

Redback Enviro

NOTE:

Upon purchase of any Redback Enviro product, you must fill out and return the Redback Enviro Warranty Certificate to validate your warranty. Click here to download the certificate.

Before making any Redback Enviro DPF warranty claim, you must fill out and return the claim form, which can be downloaded here.

DPF Warranty

All SWD Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE BELOW WILL VOID THE WARRANTY.

A warranty claim may be rejected for the following reasons:

  • The Redback Enviro Warranty Certificate must be filled out and returned as soon as the buyer takes delivery of the emission product. Failure to do so will result in the warranty being void.
  • DPF’s are only covered for structural failure. A DPF returned due to blockage will not be considered as a warranty claim.
  • Breakup of the monolith caused by excessive vibrations or accidents will not be considered as a warranty claim.
  • Use of oil not conforming to the specifications given by the vehicles’ manufacturer.
  • Use of biodiesel in the vehicle.
  • Obstruction of the monolith caused by the use of exhaust paste.
  • Obstruction of the monolith caused by oil or antifreeze entering the exhaust system
  • Failure to immediately follow the manufacturer's instructions when the DPF warning light illuminates.
  • For vehicles using an additive to assist in the regeneration process, this additive was not used.
  • All engine faults that caused the original DPF to fail are not rectified.
  • The ECU was not reset at the time of replacing the new DPF
  • Gaskets and mountings were not replaced at the time of fitting the new DPF.

YOU MUST run a forced Regeneration on the new DPF BEFORE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.

Catalytic Converter Warranty

All SWD catalytic converters are covered by a 1-year limited warranty.

A warranty claim may be rejected for the following reasons:

  • Catalytic converters are only covered for structural failure. A catalytic converter returned due to blockage or meltdown will not be considered as a warranty claim.
  • Breakup of the substrate caused by excessive vibrations or accidents will not be considered as a warranty claim.
  • Use of oil not conforming to the specifications given by the vehicles’ manufacturer.
  • Obstruction of the substrate caused by the use of exhaust paste.
  • Obstruction of the substrate caused by oil or antifreeze entering the exhaust system.
  • All engine faults that caused the original catalytic converter to fail are not rectified.
  • Gaskets and mountings were not replaced at the time of fitting of the catalytic converter.
  • The incorrect catalytic converter was fitted according to the Euro rating of the vehicles and engine capacity.
  • The catalytic converter was modified in any way.
  • C1275 only carries a 3-month warranty

Performance Products

Welding to the Barrel

When installing a Stainless Cannon or Universal Muffler, refrain from welding support mounts directly to the muffler. This type of fitment practice will void the warranty.

We recommend you install a barrel ring and mount support brackets from the barrel ring. See our range of barrel rings and rods.

Weld Slag

When welding in or around the Stainless Steel Cannon, Universal Muffler or Tip avoid weld splatter from hitting the product as it will rust and look unsightly. We recommend you use an anti-spatter spray.

Noise and Emission Levels

When fitting any Performance product, it is the obligation of the fitment centre to ensure the vehicle meets the Australian state or territory requirements for noise and emissions levels.

All warranties on mild steel systems become void if systems are used in BEACH / SALTWATER DRIVING.

All off-road warranties are only approved at the discretion of SWD Australia Pty Ltd and the manufacturer.

The name XFORCE ® is a Registered Trademark and can not be copied in any way shape or form.

SWD is a distributor of XFORCE ® products in Australia.

Towbars & Towing Products

All TAG towbars have a Limited lifetime warranty covered by the manufacturers.

Faulty Product

SWD will provide a replacement part or unit free of charge or refund the purchase price at our discretion for faulty products returned to us within 30 days of purchase date subject to: 

Prior to returning the part or unit, you must contact us by phone or email.

The product has not been damaged or tampered with in any way.

Inspection and/or testing by us of the returned product.

When sending back a part or unit we advise you to use a freight service that insures & tracks the part – we cannot be held responsible for it until it has been received back by us.

Purchasers are responsible for shipping charges back to us. We will pay the shipping charges on the replacement product being sent to you within Australia.

 

Wrong Product

In the event of a Purchaser having ordered the wrong product, SWD will at our discretion generally accept the return of the product and credit the sale price excluding the actual shipping charge (this may be more than the original delivery charge incurred at the time of order as we subsidise freight charges) & reserve the right to deduct a restocking fee of 10% at our discretion. The product must be unopened and in a re-sellable condition, i.e. has not been fitted to a vehicle. If the Purchaser orders a replacement product of a similar or greater value to replace the wrong goods, the restocking fee will also cover the cost of shipping by standard method of the replacement product. Credits are at the discretion of SWD and are subject to: 

Prior to returning the part or unit, you must contact us by phone or email.

The product being shipped back to us within 7 days of receipt by the Purchaser. The cost of returning the product is the responsibility of the purchaser – we do not accept “receiver pays” shipments.

The product and its packaging being “as new” when received back by us. We are unable to accept back towbars, weight distribution hitches and wiring harnesses that have been fitted to a vehicle and/or used in any way.

When sending back a part or unit we advise you to use a freight service that insures & tracks the part – we cannot be held responsible for it until it has been received back by us.

Please note: Any credit or refund issued by us will NOT include the original freight charge. The amount refunded will be less the actual freight cost to send the product to the purchaser. This reduction may be more than the amount charged at the time of order as we subsidise freight costs.

TAG Wiring Harnesses

All TAG Wiring Harnesses have a 12-month warranty covered by the manufacturers.

Please note that to make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase and evidence of the defect or damage.
